Urgent Appointments

Non-urgent advice: Dear Patients

We have listened to your views and will be changing how we prioritise appointments.

From Tuesday 2 April, in line with many other local GP surgeries, the way you book a GP appointment at North End Medical Centre is changing.

– All requests will be reviewed by the North End Medical Centre Triage Team, Monday-Friday 8am-6pm
– This includes appointment requests made by telephone, via the website using PATCHs, or by using the paper triage forms at reception
– Reviewing all appointment requests through a single process will allow us to prioritise urgent medical matters
– Face to face will be filled first and then we will use our telephone appointment capacity. On-line messaging via PATCHs will be used to resolve non-urgent queries
– We have designed the process so we can also maximise the opportunity for continuity of care with the same clinician
– Whether we book you on the day or in advance will relate to your circumstances, the clinical need, and our capacity

Please bear with us while we get used to our new system.
