THE FLU SEASON IS ALMOST UPON US.  GET YOUR FLU JAB!

You should have the flu vaccine if you: 

  • are 65 years old or over   
  • are pregnant 
  • have certain medical conditions 
  • are living in a long-stay residential care home or another long-stay care facility 
  • receive a carer's allowance, or you're the main carer for an elderly or disabled person whose welfare may be at risk if you fall ill
  • Frontline health and social care workers are also eligible to receive the flu vaccine. It's your employer's responsibility to arrange and pay for this vaccine.
  • children over the age of 6 months with a long-term health condition
  • children aged 2 and 3 years on 31 August 2019 (that is, born between 1 September 2015 and 31 August 2017)
  • children in primary school

IMPORTANT NOTICE - LOCAL MEASLES OUTBREAK

THERE IS A MEASLES OUTBREAK IN PARTS OF KENSINGTON, CHELSEA & WESTMINSTER, WITH CONFIRMED CASES AT 3 DIFFERENT SCHOOLS.

If you suspect your child has measles, PLEASE CALL us BEFORE coming to the surgery in order that we can arrange to isolate the patient.

Measles is very infectious and can cause serious complications and/or hospital admission.

We recommend all children who are not vaccinated to get the vaccine - Please call us to book an appointment asap

THINK MEASLES! Teenagers, young adults and anyone who has missed their MMR vaccination can get measles.

OUR PATIENT PARTICIPATION GROUP

Where patients, members of the medical staff and the Operations are able to meet quarterly to discuss matters relating to the surgery.

The aims of the Group are:

  • To improve communication between the Practice and the Patients.
  • To exchange information and ideas.
  • To discuss recent or future developments which involve the practice and its patients.
  • To consider patients concerns, comments or suggestions about the quality of the service provided and what improvements can be made.

All patients of the Practice are eligible to join the Patient Participation Group, so if you are enthusiastic about the surgery and have a few hours to spare each quarter please think about becoming a member of your PPG.

If you wish to become a member, contact our Operations Manager who can provide you with further information about membership and the Group's Meeting Date.

North End Medical Centre’s vision and statement of purpose is to maintain our longstanding traditions with a practice team and environment which is welcoming, respectful, caring and accessible for all our patients. To do this we will work with our CCG, local Practices and local health, social care and community organisations to improve the health and well-being of our patients. We will achieve this by providing a supportive, fulfilling and rewarding working environment for all staff. As a training practice and a Research Hub we will support staff development, improve our services and contribute to local research and innovation of clinical services.

NEMC’s Aims

To deliver our vision, staff working at North End Medical Centre aims to:

1) provide the best possible quality care for our patients within a confidential, safe and friendly environment.

2) focus on prevention of disease by promoting health and wellbeing and offering care and advice to our patients to maintain the maximum possible level of independence, choice and control

3) work in partnership with our patients, their families and carers towards a positive experience and understanding, involving them in decision making about their treatment and care

To obtain your registration information:

Come to the Surgery and ask at Reception for details of how to register for SystmOnline, or . You will be given a letter with your own unique registration details. Then follow the simple instructions below.

  1. FIRST TIME USE OF ONLINE

Click on https://systmonline.tpp-uk.com 

and enter the login and password obtained from the surgery, then follow the instructions.

You will be asked to change your password to something more memorable.

You can then register and use our online service.
